Renaat Van Hee discovered his passion for light as a teenager, quickly immersing himself in music, theatre and opera, where he toured extensively and honed his craft under high-pressure conditions.

His career took a defining step when he joined the Ancienne Belgique, serving as Head of Lighting, Video & Rigging Coordination. At one of Europe’s top live venues, Renaat shaped the visual experience for countless high-profile performances.

Driven by the belief that light should amplify performance rather than merely illuminate it, he approaches every project as a live, breathing organism — where every beat, shadow, and beam contributes to the energy of the moment.

From festivals to concerts, his work transforms stages into immersive experiences, translating sound into visual rhythm.
